Where did this weekend go? It seems like just a few moments ago that I was lazily napping on my couch on Friday, just after blogging and now I'm here, feeling fatter than ever on a Sunday night, getting ready for another week ahead.
HELLO? WASUPWITHTHAT? We finally had a weekend without traveling or illness, or first in ONE MONTH and it's gone, before our eyes. POOF. buh-bye. hasta luego, muchacha.
I did, shop a little alot, I guess. I checked out a dance studio for Ariel. I tried Panera Bread for lunch for the first time...which deserves another post of it's own. And we went to a 1st Birthday party for a dear friend's son. I Found a huge sponsorship for one of my fundraisers. And then we had church today and lots of donuts, and we spent alot of time at my Mom's house today. Oh! I slept until 9:20am yesterday and then Brian worked last night in Chicago and I accidentally drank alot of margaritas. by myself. whoopsy.
Guess we did a good job filling up our Stay at Home Weekend.
But the new, flashy thing I did on Friday night was....BUNCO NIGHT! One of my friends hosted it and my friend Lynette and I checked it out...quite happily. Lots of drinks, I had a chocolate martini for the first time, (Mich, did you read that? both of us on the same night had chocolate martinis for the first time...wierd.) good food, the hostess made some sort of trifle with chocolate pudding, cool whip and ding dongs. HELLO? DING DONGS? DEELISH! But best of all was the bunco! I had never played before and it was delightful and I'm happy to report that this will occur once a month. The people were amazing, fun, happy, non-annoying people. We really didn't know what we were getting into because I only knew two of the players, so it was such a relief to have a great group of happy women! Have you played bunco? Do you belong to any type of organized group of bunco? Am I spelling bunco correctly? I'm very interested. We played for money. Everyone played for five bucks and one of us won three dollars for losing (me.) and one of us one twelve dollars for most buncos, (Lynette), lucky beeyotch she was.
So, there was our weekend. I did not sleep too much last night, so in an effort to start the week without a grouch in my soul, I shall begin my slumber fairly early this evening. I wanted to check in with all of you and wish you all a great week!
P.S. Ariel starts dance lessons tomorrow, check back tomorrow night for the FULL REPORT! You won't want to miss it!

Sounds like a wonderful whirlwind of fun! LOL Gotta try our new Panera now! *wink* And, CONGRATS on the sponsorship! That's cool!
How is it that even when mommas think they got "nothing" done, the list of stuff they did is still REALLY long?! *laugh*

YES! I play bunco every month with my neighborhood ladies. It's a blast. And yes, Panera deserves a post (blog?) of its own. YUM. Sorry your weekend went by too fast!

Sounds like you had a great weekend. I LOVE Bunco. Used to play it in my old mom's group. So easy to catch on, great way to socialize, and just a good time. Glad you enjoyed it and plan on continuing to play with that group. Never had a chocolate martini (or any kind of martini actually)...good, huh? I can't believe you had never been to Panera before!

Well I'm looking forward to this Panera Bread post....I'm assuming it's good? I've alwlays been curious what it's like... Sounds like a great weekend though, which is why I guess it went by SO fast! Oh yeah, I hope you'll also be posting pics of Ariel's first dance class!!!

How exciting for Ariel to begin dance lessons. She's got to be thrilled! Is it ballet?
Bunco was a blast and I do believe you spelled it right although good ol' spell checker begs to differ! (In the words of Jim Gaffigan) "Oh Spell Check!" I am looking forward to our next match-up/game/event/competition. Fun, fun!

I have heard that Bunco is so much fun.

You've never been to Panera? Really?? Like, EVER? Wow. I love it there.
And the word bunco makes me laugh out loud. It just sounds so silly, like a grandma cuss word. But I'm glad you had fun, you little lush.

Yummm, chocolate martini's with ding dongs and hanging out with the girls...could life get any better??!! Sounds like you had a fun filled weekend. I have not joined a bunco group but know a couple girls who do it. I haven't been lucky enough to be invited! Maybe I should just start my own, that might be fun!!! Of course I should learn how to play, huh?

so...you're now officially one of those BUNCO BABES huh! Have fun!

What an awesome weekend!!! I have a lot of friends who play Bunco who love it (but I haven't played yet). My aunt's group - a bunch of school moms - have played since the kids were in kindergarten. The kids just finished college!
My BIL had us try an espresso martini. I think you'd like it!
I hope you caught up on your rest!
p.s. Dancing a happy dance for getting a sponsorship - WTG!!!
