I mean, seriously, isn't that all I ever talk about?
So, I took a bloggy break that lasted from Tuesday until today and man, the guilt associated with that break is all-consuming, but I have to tell you, I wanted to blog, I just couldn't. No time, we had a big medical thing going on with one of the kids yesterday that lasted all day and I got sick last night. Like stomach ripping open, lower back pain, vomiting and pooping. You know, the good stuff. I was tempted to sit on the toilet and blog, because isn't that what laptops are for? But my stomach hurt so bad that the only blog post I could come up with went something like "I'M GOING TO DIE. I'M GOING TO DIE. STOMACH HURTS. CAN'T STOP POOPING. MUST VOMIT NOW." And well, how boring would that post be?
Adding insult to injury, Aunt Flo and her Associates dropped in for a surprise visit yesterday and let's just say my mood was stellar. Just ask my husband. (I apologize to the men reading my blog, I know you are out there. But the Sisters reading this blog can relate and I gotta keep real.)
So, here I sit, the day after, I still have stomach cramps and I'm going to the doctor later today. Nothing says you better go to the doctor like a fever, low grade, as it is. So, I guess I'll go even though I'd rather sit here and write to all y'all. I'm sure I'm fine, I can just tell, an instinct, I guess, but I still have sinus issues which started almost two weeks ago. Such sinus issues that my menthol tissues won't even touch what's lodged up there. Maybe it's not even snot, maybe it's a shirt, I don't know. But I best find out.
And I'll report back to you ASAP.
By the way, my fundraiser walk is this weekend. If my national team reaches $100,000 we will have a research grant geared towards pediatric cancer named in our honor. Isn't that awesome? Anyway, if you feel so inclined, you may donate to my walk, every dollar, truly every dollar would be appreciated. Thanks!
*Back from the doctor. Irritable Bowel Syndrome and allergies. The IBS makes a little sense considering the day I had my worst episode was the same day we had a very stressful day with one of the kids at the hospital. Regarding the allergies, well, I've never had allergies before, so we'll see if the nasal spray works.
Yikes!
What are we going to do with you?
Hope you are on your way back to feeling better soon!

trying to find a positive on this .. will all the "sickness" help you lose the 5 pounds you were trying to lose? (ok, if that comment is out of line - delete this)
I hope and pray you all feel better ...
Liza
P.S. Aunt Flo got us on the same visit schedule.

Aw, honey...so sorry you're feeling badly. Hope by the time you get this,it is better. I married into a family with a REALLY strong IBS tradition so I've had a peek into what it can be like. My condolences...(((hugs))) Can't wait to hear what an awesome job you did on the walk!
