Our realtor came over last night to do our "for sale" paperwork. The plan was for her to come over last night to do paperwork and then again today to take pictures during the day.
Naturally, before she came over I cleaned the house. And then I cleaned some more and then I cleaned even more. The house looked super fabulous and that made me very happy and sore and exhausted. I didn't clean the kid's rooms, though, because well, I had run out of time and I had last night or at least this morning to do that before the pictures were to be taken. Plus, when I walk into their messy bedrooms I want to stick legos in my eyes because cleaning their rooms just isn't fun for me anymore.
And yes, it used to be fun for me.
Anyway, our realtor, we'll call her Bianca because writing "our realtor" every time I refer to her is really irritating, she came over and loved how our house looked, she even called it "immaculate" which made my heart skip a little and used words like "perfect" and "pottery barn." We discussed the impending winter storm headed in our direction the next day and decided during paperwork to take the pictures after the paperwork last night.
Which I was totally unprepared for mentally. But apparently prepared for because I cleaned for seventeen days straight. Or so it seems.
So, we took pictures last night and now our house is officially on the market which fills me with great relief and fear. And more relief. Wrapped up in fear.
And now, school has been cancelled thanks to All of The Snow! and Brian is home from work which means one thing: The House Is Going To Become Very Very Very Messy. So, rather than worry about the mess, I'm going to chain the kids and Brian to the couches and make sure they do not make any messes at all. Actually, maybe I'll chain myself and the kids to the couches and Brian can bring me things like burritos and ice cream.
Yes, that sounds much better.
Today I have an OB appointment which excites me because having a chance to hear two heartbeats is just plain fun, but it also scares me because last night I dined on chicken strips, french fries and mashed potatoes. We went to dinner to celebrate our official "for sale" status. Nothing says celebration like swollen ankles and a big fat pimple on my cheek. (Thanks, greasy chicken! You are the best!)
Speaking of twins, my how they have grown since my last belly shot, here's a picture of my belly taken for you today 15 weeks, 5 days.. Last Monday (at 14 weeks) I was measuring 18 weeks if I were carrying a singleton. I'm pretty sure today I'll be measuring 30 weeks if I were carrying a singleton. Yes, yes, I'm quite sure.
Don't you agree? And do you like the way I am torturing this non-maternity shirt stretching it's seams to a point that they should never be stretched? You can't hear it, but my seams are actually begging to be freed from their torture. I like to stay out of maternity shirts for as long as possible and I tend to stretch that time frame when I am at home when people can't see me. And this is why.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Congrats on your "for sale!"
I think you look great...you look like one of the girls that 'doesn't even look pregnant from behind.'
I was not one of the girls.
You should eat more fried chicken!

Great. I can see it now. I come home and my wife and kids are comfortably strapped to the couch in their toilet paper shackles since we don't have chains handy. They will be pleading their helpless state and claiming the only things they can manipulate are the little bells for meal service and the remote control. Gah!!!

Oh! I can't wait to go home and see your picture!!
I hear ya sista, I hear ya, I can't keep a house looking clean for more than 24 hours. I feel your pain.
Pottery barn fits your house too. I love it and I'm sure it will move off the market quickly.
I always like to make vacuuming into a game. It works.Dusting and be a game too. Dishes? No game for that, that chore just stinks all around.
:D

Keeping a house clean, what does that mean? I am utterly convinced that those I live with have the impression that I like cleaning ALL THE TIME, so they humor me and just keep the messes coming. (especially dishes and laundry)
You look great!

You look beautiful as usual and I love the stretched t-shirt look on you. I say wear it as long as you can. Congrats on the house status. That is exciting news. Has it really sunk in yet? When we sold our last house it didn't sink in until I saw them putting the for sale sign up in the front yard. It hit me hard and made me sad.

We don't need your heart skipping any more beats, so just stop listening to "Bianca".
Big milestone, and it will drive you nuts trying to keep the house clean...but you are one step closer to it being sold. Awesome!
Oh and you look fabulous, I can't believe there's two little sweeties in there!
