OH! Beth!
We had a similar refrigerator experience when we moved into our new house a few weeks ago! I am so glad you have such a good attitude about it! You are amazing! It figures that this stuff happens when you are the only one there to handle it! You go girl!

I stop by here all the time and rarely comment. However today your post spoke to and encouraged me in such a way that I had to just tell you thank you for this post.

Beth, to be totally selfish I needed that post today. Your attitude is beautiful. We should all focus more on our good/grateful list and less on the sucks/why me list. Things are just that...things. Things can be replaced. Love and support are what matters. We all have angels w/us especially in hard times. Yours are tiny perfect babies. We all have bumps in the road-sometimes more serious than others-but the way we choose to handle them is what matters.
It will be OK. I know it.

Oh no! Something similar happened to me when our dishwasher overflowed, ruining our flooring and carpet. I'm so sorry! But I know you will get through it. Just hang in there!

Thea @ I'm a Drama Mama

Yeah, I have a feeling my kids would have learned a few new cuss words if that happened here...

I'm so sorry, man! But you're attitude is awesome.

It seems to me that when I am in one of those cycles, bad juju just keeps on finding me. It will end. I am glad that you found it when you did. The kitchen looks wonderful and the house sounds so nice. We had a lot of water in our house after our fire and the insurance company was good in paying for it all, even paying me to do laundry. Maybe someone ought to go after whomever installed the fridge too.

You have an amazing attitude and perspective. I'd be whining and drinking straight from the bottle. I'll keep your family in my prayers!

Miss Britt

You have every right to be proud of yourself.

I hope this doesn't sound obnoxious...but I am very proud of you!! You're right..there are more important things to worry and cry over (although if that had happened to me I would not have handled it so beautifully!!). Good luck with the clean up...I will keep you, your family and especially your brother in my prayers!!! Happy sunshiny day, Beth!!!

Oh, by the way, does this mean that you have gotten your internet issues resolved???? I hope so!!! Take care!!

that girl

Wow, your attitude reminds me to be thankful. Thank you.

Oh, that stinks! At least you are able to look at the positive side of things.

shelley at joyful homemaker

this has happened to us twice. Do u have hard water? That is what caused our problem. Hope all goes well with the cleanup.

You have a great and grateful attitude. I'm so glad you are not angry, and can see the positive side to this.

Much love to you,

Well, that could be really suck-tastic. Your attitude is awesome, regardless of how long it lasts. Thanks for being an inspiration today.

well, CRAP...hopefully your insurance will help out!

Rhonda (Mimi)

Wow, sorry that happened. Yeah, it's only material stuff, but still a pain to have to deal with it. You do have the right attitude.

So sorry that this happened to you, but so glad that you found it and have a place to get it fixed quickly.

You handle things so well, this will pass by quickly. You're always in my prayers, keep on keeping on!

Wow. I was watching a comedienne on T.V. many years ago. She was funny and inspirational all at the same time. I wish I could remember her name.

She was going on and on about her problems, and then she stopped and started talking about real PROBLEMS. What is the difference you might ask?

She kept saying over and over in her stand-up routine..."If money can fix it, it isn't a problem". I took it to heart and have tried to remember this simple saying when I get overwhelmed with problems.

Save your energy for PROBLEMS.

You should of called me. I would have come over and helped clean up the water!!

I do love all the pictures of your house, and can't wait to see it.

Tara R

oh no!!!!

This summer I am a judicial intern. Every day I find myself being grateful for all the "problems" in my life when I see what other people have to deal with! I hope everything dries asap. I'll make sure to pray for your brother and your entire family.

That completely sucks! Your beautiful kitchen! You might be surprised after the professionals are done how much everything dries up. It might not be as bad as you think.

OMG! Ok, I officially crown you an Army wife. Stuff like that always happens the minute he steps out the door! Is this definitely a time to cuss or what?! I would have been cussing all day. You are a trooper though and hopefully this will be something you will laugh about someday? Great attitude, way to keep life in perspective. My computer is starting to hummm, I don't think that's a good thing. Pray for my only communication with my husband right now! Yikes!
