Hahaha. I love it! You're hilarious Beth! :) Happy (early) Anniversary and Congrats on your pretty new washer!

Our washing machine may die soon. It is starting to whistle and even though I have no idea what that means, I stuck a bug in hub's ear that I want a new one when this dies.

New one meaning a front loader and energy efficient. I told him we must go to Best Buy when it does quit on us.

Don't they have the best appliances there?

Congrats on the anniversary!

Christy M.

It is quite romantic. And you can drunk text me anytime! Maybe when I'm there visiting, we can get drunk and text each other!!

So they sell hard liquor at your Walmart? Not here. We have to go to that guns/liquor store!! Fo' realz.

So that is the EXACT same washing machine I have. And I have the dryer too. It's wonderful and it will make you want to do nothing but laundry. I think I might have blogged about mine when I got them. Because they are so wonderful and awesome.

The best part for me? They stack. Yup. Mine are stacked, because we have a total lack of space in our tiny house.

Diet Coke nearly came out of my nose - too stinking funny.. Anniversary presents in my family are a joke - truly.. One year dad bought mom a round pen, then an indoor riding arena and then he bought her a horse trailer (all spread out over 20 some years) so my mom makes it her job in finding just the perfect girly/house gift for my dad - it's pretty funny... Keep us updated about the break up with Walmart - i've tried it before but it's damn hard and I keep going back like it's an old pair of jeans I can't cast off;) Happy Anniversary!!

Midwest Mommy

I so dream of this washer :-)

It's LIFE. And you're doing it TOGETHER! No gift can top that. (That's what I tell myself every year since we don't do the gift thing). But really, it's true.

Happy 9th Anniversary!!!

Our 16th was on Friday. I called the new refrigerator I was forced to get a couple of weeks ago my gift. I love the new fridge, but it would have been so much nicer if my old one had not decided to quit working. That money cold have gone toward a nice weekend away, new power tools (I don't wear much jewelry), shoes, clothes, etc.

Growing up and being practical is not much fun.;)

We have romantic anniversaries like that all the time! It's technically a romantic evening when you are on a date with NO kids- it changes the whole evening so whether you're on a beach with a flat tummy or walking around Wal-Mart searching for more booze...it counts! I love the washer-looks like my sisters' and yes, I got the same present two yrs ago in Kansas. I loved doing laundry then too. Don't worry- it will pass. Happy 9th!!!

Oh she's a pretty one. I would be sitting there right next to Ariel watching it. Fun stuff. And Happy Anniversary Beth and Brian! So did you buy the picture?

Hi Beth....... Your hubby and my hubby sound like they are much from the same mold when it comes to spending money. Me thinks we could start a blog about the ways we do not see eye to eye. Glad to see that I'm not alone in "buying stuff for the house" for anniversaries. This year we got a new washer, dryer and dishwasher. I guess each time I walk through the kitchen my heart will pitter patter as I think of it....

Cool new washer by the way. However, your washer is missing it's mate. Tell that sweet hubby of yours that the washer must divorce the old dryer and get the new front loading one. Tell him all about the energy effiencieny and money savings (smile). Remind him that it will make it easier for the kids to load and unload soon (see below. When your front loading dryer meets up with front loading washer your laundry issues will become this: your closes will dry in almost 20 minutes and instead of having the laundry pile up TO BE washer.... it will be waiting on the OTHER end to be folder. Which reminds me. It is time for a Lewis Family Laundry party to be called. I can feel the kids eyes rolling already.

Neurotically Yours!

You are a trip!! I am eyeballing a new front loading set, too and I can't wait 'til they're mine. Excited about appliances......man, that makes me sound old!

Happy Anniversary :)

I wish I would have had a blackberry that night. We were soooo close and I too was drinking cosmos of multiple varities.

So, I'm digging your laundry machiene and If you are so super excited about, I'll have my dirty white there at 7pm. Have the 'ritas ready.

Happy anniversary B&B!(soon)

That is so romantic... almost as romantic as my hubby taking me through the drive-thru at McDonalds in Vegas right after we got married 8 years ago. ;o)

I am jealous of that washer though!

Adventures In Babywearing

And you're still getting that artwork, right?

Happy Anniversary! Mine is August 14th... And that washing machine? All you have to do is engrave on it: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY '08. Then it will become a family heirloom, and your kids can fight over THAT rather than an exquisite art piece! In the meantime, can you spend a romantic evening during laundry!?

Kelly @ Love Well

I'm pretty sure the 9th anniversary traditional gift is "laundry." So it's all good.

I love practical gifts for anniversaries! :) Oh and I have the same dryer (mine is a few years old) and I LOVE it! Hope you do too!

I'd say that poor little washing machine looks very, very lonely. It looks absolutely lost without its soul mate.

(BTW, I am soooo jealous!!!)

Minivan Mom

Sadly, I don't get anniversary presents. For some reason when we were 22 (ie STUPID) we thought it would be a good idea to get married 2 days after Christmas. So now every year on our anniversary we're broke, sick of family, and fat.

It's VERY romantic.

Only slightly more romantic is the CASH my husband has given me for the past 2 years as birthday gifts.

The romance overflows at the minivan mom household also.

Thea @ I'm a Drama Mama

It's all about functionality, isn't it. We bypassed the romanticness years ago.

Good times.

That LG machine brings me such joy -- I love the song it plays at the end of a cycle! It's the little things in life, I tell you.

There's always Christmas for the artwork.

My CPA husband might disagree with me, but couldn't that washing machine be considered a tax deduction since your blog is "I Should be Folding Laundry"? AND you just blogged about it?

What a nice washer! Sounds like my kind of date, wine and Wal-Mart!I received my free Primo water this weekend, LOVE IT! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Megan (FriedOkra)

unless it's in an ocean and I'm sitting by it in a chair with a margarita and a flat stomach. Child, how you do crack me up! I needed that, big time.

Congrats on the new washer. Sorry about the WalMart bootie call. It was bound to happen, though. Girls love a bad boy.

I am commenting without reading the others because I KNOW I am probably not the only one to say this but did Mrs. "I should be folding laundry" really get a new clothes washer for her anniversary? Just checking...

Happy Anniversary and glad you had a great celebration together, beverages and all!
